Marble Palace is counted among the most special museums of Kolkata.  In fact, it is a marble fort built by King Rajendra Malik in the 1800s.  It is counted among those special historical structures of India, whose grandeur is still seen even today.  It was created by a Businessman who loved art very much.  The museum includes Western sculpture, Victorian furniture, paintings by artists from India and Europe.  This building is built in Neo classical style.  The complex also has lawns, a rock garden, a lake and a zoo garden.  The marble palace is very popular among the visitors to Kolkata.





Gandhi Bhavan, Bangalore





Bangalore Gandhi Bhavan Sanghal located in Bangalore, Karnataka was established in 1965 under the supervision of President Dr. Rajendra Prasad on Kumra Crapa Road.  The museum, built in honor of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, aims to spread Gandhian ideas to the masses.  In this museum you can find all the information related to the Father of the Nation.  Here Gandhiji's life cycle is displayed through the picture gallery.  Where you can see from birth to death in these pictures.  Apart from this, a unit has also been formed for Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Library, Vallabh Niketan, Publication Section and Audio Visual Education.  You can come here any day between 10:30 am to 5 pm except Sunday.





Government Museum, Chennai





It is a multipurpose state government owned museum located in Egmore, Chennai. The museum complex has six independent buildings with 46 galleries.  The antiquities are very well maintained in the museum, where you can see the Buddhist sculptures of ancient South Indian period to the 16th century important objects of Vijayanagar.  Apart from this, you can also see special rooms here which are dedicated to Hindu, Buddhist and Jainism.  Also, there is a national Art Gallery, Contemporary Art Gallery and a museum for children.  You can come here from 9:30 am to 5 pm from Saturday to Thursday.  Various departments related to archeology, zoology, botany, geology, anthropology and numismatics have also been created in this government museum.

Ranjit Singh Museum, Amritsar





The 18th century paintings, weapons, manuscripts and coins are kept safely in the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum located in the Golden City of Amritsar, India.  There are three more art galleries in the city, one of which belongs to the Golden Temple, the other is Jallianwala Bagh and the third is named after the famous artist Thakar Singh of the city.  Tourists come here to see valuable antiquities and art related items.  The museum was formally established on 27th November 1977 by the then Union Minister of India, Shri Jagjivan Ram.





National Gandhi Museum





The National Gandhi Museum or Gandhi Memorial Museum is a well-known museum located in New Delhi. Many tourists come here every day. These museums depict the life of Mahatma Gandhi and his principles.  This museum was first opened in Mumbai.  Shortly after Mahatma Gandhi's death, it was replaced several times before it was opened in Rajghat, Delhi.  To get here you have to go to Rajghat.  There is no ticket for an Indian or foreign tourist to see the National Gandhi Museum.  The time to enter the museum is from 9:30 am to 5:30
